How does Thanx work?

Thanx pulls transaction data for the credit/debit card(s) you link when you make a purchase at a participating retailer. Our mobile app will notify you when this happens as well as when you have a reward available to use.

Why do you need my credit card? What do you use it for?

Thanx will never charge your credit card for anything and we don’t store the number anywhere in our system. Once the card is linked, we are notified of qualifying transactions at participating merchants and automatically credit your account. You don’t have to do anything to earn rewards.

Is it secure for me to add my card with the app or with my web browser?

Yes. All data transmitted to or from the app or to your browser is encrypted over SSL just like your bank does.

Can I remove my card?

Yes. At any time, you can log into your account and delete any or all of your linked cards.

How do I redeem a reward?

Simple! Just open the app and click on any available reward when you’re ready to pay. You’ll have an hour to show it to staff at the merchant to receive your reward.

Where can I use Thanx?

You can see where we’re available in the app itself by clicking on the “Locations” map or view the map on our website.

Can I get credit for cash transactions?

No. You only accrue reward progress by using your linked credit or debit card.

Can I use any credit card?

Yes. You can use any card with Thanx. Visa, American Express, MasterCard, and others.
